Types of cement storage silos
Horizontal cement silo
The horizontal cement silo consists of a cylindrical silo body and a bracket. This type is the most common, suitable for large-scale construction projects such as stationary concrete batching plants. The horizontal cement silo can store a large amount of cement and is well sealed. The lining is made of steel and has strong quality.
Vertical cement silo
Vertical cement silos are suitable for small and medium-sized construction projects because of their small storage space and small footprint. The structure is usually vertical or rectangular.

Working Principle Of Batching Plant cement silo
Before the cement silo starts working, the cement transport vehicle first transports the cement to the cement silo.
During the transportation of cement, the upper and lower indicator lights of the material level system in the cement silo will light up respectively, indicating that the cement is approaching the indicator line and needs to be stopped immediately.
Meanwhile, during the conveying process, the arch-breaking device will continue to work to prevent dust and cement blockage, keeping the cement in a loose state. The screw conveyor will feed the cement into the mixer.
When the cement is below the lower line in the warehouse, the indicator light will extinguish, indicating the need to re-transport the cement. To ensure successful mixing of cement, a vibrator needs to be installed to improve the breathability of the cement silo. In humid conditions, frequent opening of the pneumatic arch-breaking device is required to successfully lift and transport cement.

Dust removal system
A dust removal system is installed at the top of the silo, which can adsorb nearby dust particles and reduce environmental pollution to cement. When there is enough dust in the dust removal system, the vibrator inside the system will automatically shake off the dust.
Arch braking system
There is an arch-breaking device under the cement silo, which can avoid the accumulation and congestion of cement powder. By releasing compressed gas, the arch of cement powder can be broken.
